The End of The Day in Homestay Seri Kayangan

We had breakfast at our host family house, but at Wak Masnan's house also prepared us breakfast. Hence, we were divided to the group and did a discussion about our project for the homestay. We did presentation and been judge by panel, the panel is the homestay participant. Next, the presentation settled and the closing ceremony did well. We had to tidy the hall, put the things back to normal. By noon we settled everyrhing and had lunch at Wak Masnan's house. After lunch,we had our Zuhur prayer then we get time to do sightseeing at the surrounding and fishing.

The Journey to Seri Kayangan

We arrived at the homestay before noon. The homestay's participant welcomed and greeted us warmly. By noon, they served us lunch and performed Zuhur prayer. Plus, we went into the Hall for question and answer session with homestay's participant. Hence, Wak Masnan did a tour with us around the place. We get chance to watch the view of lotus lake and fishing at the pond. We get hi tea then, we were divided to the host families and follow them to their house. We had our time to rest for a while, at 8 p.m we went back to Wak Masnan's house for dinner and night activity. At 10, we ended the discussion and went to the host's family house.

Pricing Issue

Fixed Price
Rate for per day is RM225 and RM 150 for online booking. It is included the activities that plan and agreed. Furthermore, it is included meals for whole day and optional for the visitors to add any activities.

Package Price
There are several packages such as student package, family package, function package and holiday package. It is included of activities that suitable depends on the package. Meals for the whole day are provided.

Quality & Labelling

We provided the IKS product such as Banana Crisp, Rempeyek from this village’s land itself. We concern about the quality that produces from homestay’s production. The quality is observed in terms of :
  • Packaging
  • Protection
  • Product differentiation
  • Hygiene


All IKS products are labelled and provide information on the manufacturer, weight and date of produce. The product are produces on box of packaging that more conducive.

Our Branding

Our symbolic is Lotus. No matter how dirty the place lotus lived, but its beauty is maintained well even add to the beauty of the surrounding environment. So then, we used as our branding of homestay.

Introduction of Seri Kayangan Homestay



          The Chairman of Seri Kayangan Homestay is En. Masnan Bin Pardi. There are 13 participants under Seri Kayangan Homestay. It started in 2006 about last 10 years ago. There are a lot of nature resources around as the main attraction of homestay. Lotus plant is one of the nature resources that high demand request from visitor especially students from KolejKomuniti. Then, other nature resources are a paddy field , oil palm, coconut tree, and papaya tree.

     Next, the uniqueness of this homestay is traditional village activity like fishing, finding worms for the fishing’s activity, sightseeing of paddy field, cycling, kayaking and planting. Other than that, there are Industri Kecil Sederhana (IKS) such as banana crisp, rempeyek and there are also activity on how to cook rempeyek.


     Last but not least, they success in linking with international visitor. Their previous visitor consist from Japan, Korea, Hungry and others such as VIP’s that stay in this homestay. Now, it clearly can be seen that homestay have their own skills to attract the tourist to continuous to stay again.

History of Seri Kayangan Homestay

   Firstly,we will tell introduction about Seri Kayangan Homestay. It was located at Lot 160 Kampung Tebuk Baru, Bagan Terap, 45300 Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.  Kampung Bagan Terap  is a Malay Village consist of Javanese and Malay tribe. The participant’s Homestay were kind, friendly, informative and not miserly to share the history of Seri Kayangan and about Bagan Terap village.


      History about Bagan Terap village is bearing with Bagan tree around. Name of this village obtain because there are a lot of Bagan tree  before. History earlier said, the open  town is called as village before as Bagan tree is near the river and there was a small shelter built for fishing purposed. They called as Bagan as there had a lot of Bagan tree then resulting the name of Bagan Terap Village.
